At Home Away From Home Childcare, we provide top-notch childcare for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Our staff are all Child Development Associate (CDA) and CPR certified, and our Alabama First Class Preschool teacher is an Alabama-certified educator. Our center provides an accredited curriculum for our pre-school children.
Star Ratings are rigorous processes through which child care programs voluntarily demonstrate their commitment to meeting and maintaining high standards of education, quality, and school safety. These involve external assessment by state agencies, evaluating factors like curriculum, teacher qualifications, safety protocols, and overall program quality. Achieving accreditation and gaining Star Ratings signify that a child care provider has gone above and beyond to ensure that they offer an environment that fosters the healthy development and well-being of the children they care for.

It’s not enough for us to feed your child’s mind, we want to feed their tummy, too! We understand the importance of nourishing your little ones with meals that are both healthy and delightful. We take pride in crafting nutritious and delicious lunches that parents can trust.
Children at our childcare center will receive nutritious and well-balanced snacks and meals through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). They're provided breakfast, lunch, and a snack every day at no extra cost! Formula is also provided for infants.
"Classrooms are funded through a grant process in which sites must meet specific quality assurances and abide by rigorous operating guidelines. Alabama’s First Class Pre-K program has been awarded the highest quality rating by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) for 16 consecutive years, which includes four years of highest ratings based on more stringent measures of practice."
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool empowers children to be confident, creative, and caring learners through play-based, hands-on investigations—a research-based approach that incorporates language, literacy, and mathematics throughout the day.
Home Away From Home Childcare is not just a great place to work; it's a great place to be. Working with children is a big responsibility, but the rewards are even bigger. We are looking for qualified teachers and staff to join our growing family and help us provide emotional, physical, and mental growth at a level unmatched by any competition.
